Meet Amy Skoke, and Why Organizing Is Never Really About the Stuff
How do most people relax? Mine is a messy pantry and a free afternoon. Reorganizing a space someone had quietly given up on is my idea of a genuinely good time, and yes, my family finds this a little strange.
That happy quirk is where The Concierge Organizer began. What feels like a mountain to you is the best kind of puzzle to me, and turning that instinct into a calling has been the most meaningful work of my life.
Welcome, and thank you for wanting to know the person behind it all. Here is the story, and what this work is really about.
What Made You Start a Professional Organizing Business?
It chose me as much as I chose it. The instinct showed up early, first in my own home and later in retail management, where the link between an organized space and how calmly people could think became impossible to unsee. Years in media and client work sharpened it, all that practice at guiding people through complexity. Helping friends and family with their homes was the moment it clicked. Their spaces looked better, and more than that, they felt better. That relief is what turned an instinct into a calling.
Why Is Clutter So Overwhelming for So Many People?
Because clutter is rarely about the belongings. It is about the decisions underneath them. Every item on a counter is a small unanswered question about whether it stays and where it belongs, and a whole room of those questions is exhausting before you lift a finger. Add a move, a downsizing, or a season with no time to spare, and the weight multiplies. Naming that out loud brings people real relief, because it means they are not lazy or failing. They are simply carrying more than any one person should carry alone.
What Makes The Concierge Organizer Different?
Most organizing sells the finished photo. My work starts a layer deeper, with how you actually live and how you want your home to feel when you walk in. Nothing here runs on a rigid, one-size-fits-all system, and I will never hand you a trash bag and a lecture about living with less. You set the pace, and the decisions get carried with you rather than dumped on you. The systems that result are built to survive a real, busy life, not just a photo shoot. The goal was never perfection. It is a home that finally feels like it is on your side.
Who Do You Work With, and How?
Homeowners and busy professionals across Boca Raton and South Florida, many of them navigating a transition or simply out of time and bandwidth. The support reaches well past decluttering. That might mean preparing a home before it goes on the market, or managing a move from the first box straight through to a new place that runs smoothly on day one. Closets, kitchens, paperwork, and home offices all fall within it. Much of this work is deeply personal, often touching private spaces and sensitive documents, so discretion and trust sit at the center of everything.
Why the Butterfly?
The butterfly was a deliberate choice. It stands for transformation and forward movement, which is exactly what this work is about. Not simply a tidier home, but a real shift from chaos and stress into clarity and ease, made to last.
How Did You Get Here?
The path was anything but straight. It began in retail and media sales, then opened up when my children were young and the time felt right to build two businesses: an early organizing venture and a co-founded media company, so family and work could grow together. A return to corporate media followed and sharpened the skills in strategy and client relationships that shape the business today. Coming back to organizing was fully intentional, this time with a more structured, high-touch model. Registered and insured, and a proud member of NAPO with a Specialist Certificate in Move Management and Home Staging, everything rests on the same foundation offered to every client: trust and follow-through.
